IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

GEST HASTINGS MCC SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR THE 2019 SEASON.

The season will consist of 12 (twelve) rounds.

To qualify for a trophy you must complete 75% of the race season.

You will be able to drop 6 (six) race scores at the end of the season.

We will do our very best to complete all rounds, subject to force majeure. If a race meeting has to be cancelled it WILL NOT be rescheduled.

MEMBERSHIP

This years membership will be available through the ACU online system.

Single rider membership is £40.00.

Family Membership is £40.00 for the first member and £15.00 for each additional family member. This can include, 1 adult and dependents under the age of 18 and living at the same address or just siblings.

After the first meeting we will be looking at lap times, if you are deemed to be in the wrong group you will be asked to move up a group and take the last placed points in that group. If you think you have put yourself in the wrong group, please ask to be moved up before the start of the season.

EVENT ENTRY

All booking in will be done via the ACU website.

Please book in early to secure your entry.

Entry for members will open from Monday two weeks before the meeting at 7.00pm.

Non-members can book in from Monday one week before the meeting at 7.00pm.

Non-members booking in before this time may have their entry denied.

Entry will close at 8.00pm on the Friday before the meeting.

Adult groups will be mixed if numbers are low. 

BW and SW will be mixed if numbers are low.

Juniors and Autos will be separated if numbers are high.

RACE FEES 2019

Adults £37.50 On the day entry £45.00

Youth groups £27.50 On the day entry £35.00

Juniors and Autos £22.50 On the day entry £30.00

1 event licence £15.00

1 event membership £10.00

Everyone will pay a marshal fee.

Solo rider £15.00
Family fee is solo rider fee plus £5.00 per additional rider (must have family membership to qualify).

Supplied marshals will be paid,

£20.00 for half day.

£50.00 for full day.

If you can supply a marshal, please let us know when you book in via the ACU booking in system. We also have a GEST Marshals Facebook page (Gest MX Marshals) where all marshalling information can be found.

If you need to cancel your entry it must be no later than 7pm the Friday before the meeting. After this time you may receive a refund subject to club discretion.

Please adhere to entry times as we cannot delay the start of the day.

TECHNICAL/RACE CONTROL

All riders must present their bike, crash helmet (which must have an ACU gold sticker on it) and body armour. You will not be able to enter and sign on for the meeting without this being passed.

Please note, random fire extinguisher checks will be carried out throughout the season.

Random drug/alcohol testing will take place. If you are suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we will ask you to participate in a test. A refusal will be deemed a positive test. If you test positive for alcohol you will not be able to race and NO refund will be given. If you test positive for drugs you will be ejected from the meeting immediately and reported to the ACU. NO refund will be given and membership will be revoked.

NO RIDING IN THE PADDOCK AT ANY TIME. THIS INCLUDES SIDE-SADDLE OR ROLLING.

You all know the ACU and GEST ruling on this. If you are found riding in the paddock, members will lose their points for that race and will be disqualified from the rest of the meeting. Non-members will be disqualified from the rest of the meeting and NO refund will be given. Repeat offenders will no longer be able to take part at any GEST meetings.

The use of children’s electric bikes is also forbidden. 

All races will be electronically timed, lap scorers will be used as back up in case the system fails.

Take note of the following flag signals

STATIONARY YELLOW FLAG

Danger, take care. Ride with caution.

WAVED YELLOW FLAG

Great Danger, prepared to stop, NO overtaking, a significant reduction in speed must be seen, jumps MUST NOT be attempted.

RED FLAG

ALL riders MUST stop. Riders must not pass any red flag unless authorised or directed to do so and then only proceed at a slow pace.

BLACK FLAG

Rider directed to stop racing immediately and leave the track.

YELLOW FLAG WITH BLACK CROSS

Last lap.

CHEQUERED FLAG

Race finished.

WHITE FLAG

Medical attention required.

Any rider ignoring flag signals will be given a 10 place penalty or possibly black flagged.

It is your responsibility to know what the flags mean.

All riders must have visible and correct numbers on all three panels of their bike at all times. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Parents/guardians are reminded that they are responsible for their children at ALL times. Please ensure you know where your children are and that they stay within the confines of the event.

MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

By joining GEST Hastings MCC Ltd, you agree to abide by these rules and regulations. GEST operate a zero tolerance policy to any verbal or physical abuse towards any of its officials. Failure to do so may result in you being disqualified, ejected or banned from GEST.
